- Gastroenterology
Dr. Ben Kurz is a board-eligible gastroenterologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants. He performs routine GI procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy in the diagnosis, screening, and surveillance of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. Clinical interests range widely from common GI disorders such as reflux disease and screening families for colon cancer to more specific diseases such as chronic viral hepatitis C, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Procedural interests include lower endoscopic mucosal resection, a minimally invasive technique that removes advanced polyps before evolving into cancer. Dr. Kurz is native to Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Episcopal High School.
