Dr. McClelland was born in Rockville, Md. His medical degree was granted at LSU – New Orleans. An internship and residency were completed at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He then returned to LSU (Shreveport), to complete a Gastroenterology Fellowship, where he also served as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Gastroenterology Section. He received his Board certification in Gastroenterology from the American Board of Gastroenterology in 1987.
