Dr. Byrd received the Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at Louisiana State Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He completed his Fellowship at Louisiana State University Medical Center and Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, La. Dr. Byrd is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Byrd holds membership in the American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the Southern Medical Association.
